Cafe Cana` - Painting and Decorating Course

Painting & Decorating teachers Clive Quilty and Monica Lloyd have just finished a restoration project with a local Redfern community group, Cafe Cana`. Cana`s three storey Federation terrace on busy Cleveland Street was in line for an internal makeover in some of the many rooms. In partnership with TAFE Ultimo Outreach and Cafe Cana`, the teachers instructed their group of eager volunteers and went about working on the rooms.

The projects had the group learning skills as plan and organise, prepare surfaces, minor building repairs, working with colour schemes, applying paint by brush and communication skills.
